Cumberland County is known as the Gateway to Nova Scotia as most traffic entering Nova Scotia arrives through the N.S./N.B. border. This is also the beginnings of  two of the scenic trails in the province, the Glooscap and Sunrise Trails.

What the Province of Nova Scotia has been trying to accomplish for years, is present now in Cumberland ! From maple syrup season in the spring, beach and other soft adventure activities in the summer, hunting and colorful foliage in the fall, to skiing, skating and snowmobiling in the winter, Cumberland offers it all.
