Parrsboro is the largest town on the Minas Basin and a major tourist centre on this portion of the Glooscap Trail.

Parrsboro is a sea port situated on the North Shore of the Minas Basin, an inner arm of the Bay of Fundy. The Town has a population of approximately 1600 inhabitants.

The Minas Basin is one of the locations of the world's highest tides, and their dramatic effect on shipping can be seen from the Parrsboro wharf when fishing boats and pleasure vessels are left stranded high and dry by the low tide. At high tide water fills the harbour and reaches the mouth of the small creek that runs under the main street.

There are hiking trails, waterfalls, and tidal bores that force rivers to flow backward. In season, you will find maple syrup and blueberries. And any time you'll find friendly greetings along the way.
