The Springhill Miners' Museum located on the Black River Road, remembers the toil and tragedies of those who worked and died underground.
Springhill, a town of 4,200 people, is centrally located in the heart of Cumberland County, Nova Scotia.
Once
noted for its coalfields, and historically a coal mining community,
Springhill now has no working mines. The main sources of
employment are the Federal Penitentiary and small industry. |
