Visitor Information Centres are lighthouses for modern day travelers. While lighthouses of the past warned of danger, ours show visitors highlights and attractions of the region.
No matter where you are from or what you would like to do, our friendly and knowledgeable staff are ready to set you on your way. And even if they do not have the answer you are looking for at hand, they have the resources and courtesy to take the time to find out.
In the 15 Visitor Information Centres that are contained in the Central Nova Region we help over 120,000 people find a vacation, day trip, excursion, or anything else they might be interested in doing, every year. They are also prepared to help you find that all necessary places to sleep, eat, and be merry.
But it only makes sense that our VIC staff would be this friendly, they are after all, Nova Scotian's too.
Amherst V.I.C.
This is a Provincially run VIC located at the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick border, is the main gateway into our beautiful Province. Enjoy top-notch service and an array of information on things to see and do in Nova Scotia. If you happen to arrive late a section of the building is open 24 hours a day with washrooms, vending machines, maps and travel guides.

Joggins V.I.C.
The Joggins V.I.C. is near the beginning of the Glooscap Trail. It's a great spot to stop to get directions and to learn of the areas world famous fossil cliffs.

Maitland V.I.C.
The Maitland VIC is located on Highway 215 along the Glooscap Trail. Ask about the site of the highest recorded tides in the world and tidal bore rafting.

Oxford V.I.C.
Take Exit off Trans Canada Highway 104 and visit the quaint town of Oxford - The Wild Blueberry Capital of Canada! Located within the Wild Blueberry and Maple Centre, the Oxford VIC will provide information on the local area as well as an array of tasty wild blueberry and maple treats.

Parrsboro V.I.C.
Visit the Fundy Geological Museum in Parrsboro along the Glooscap Trail where you'll find your next stop for visitor information. Learn about incredible fossils, stones and dinosaur bones during your visit.

Pugwash V.I.C.
The Pugwash VIC is located along the beautiful Northumberland Shore in the quaint seaside Village of Pugwash. Ask about great area beaches and find out why the community is world famous for peace!

Springhill is home to one of Nova Scotia's most beloved entertainers, Anne Murray, and boasts of many museums and tours. Let the V.I.C. staff help guide you through the town and area.

Stewiacke V.I.C.
You'll catch a glimpse of the giant Mastodon along Highway 102 before taking Exit to the Stewiacke VIC. Here you will find yourself exactly halfway between the North Pole and the Equator. Located at "Mastodon Ridge" the Stewiacke VIC is a great stopping place to learn of the many things to see and do in Central Nova Scotia.

Tatamagouche V.I.C.
Tatamagouche, Mi'Kmaq word meaning "meeting of waters" is a beautiful seaside village along the Northumberland Shore and Sunrise Trail. The local Visitor Information Centre is located at the Fraser Cultural Centre. Ask about local heritage attractions in the area.

Tidnish V.I.C.
Tidnish is a lesser known entryway into Nova Scotia from the province of New Brunswick. If you can find your way to this scenic gem it will be well worth the effort. Located along the Sunrise Trail the Tidnish VIC will share the tales of an ambitious marine railway project from the past from a picturesque location featuring a rare suspension bridge.

Truro V.I.C.
You won't miss this VIC location as a giant 40ft. statue of native figure Glooscap hails you from Highway 102. Take Exit 13A and visit the Glooscap Heritage Centre before learning of all the other wonderful things to see and do in the "Hub of Nova Scotia".

Wallace V.I.C.
Found along the Northumberland Shore and the Sunrise Trail the Wallace VIC is located within the Wallace and Area Museum. Enjoy numerous intriguing heritage exhibits while learning of all that the local area has to offer.
